Missing Children

A full-screen missing-child alert for any display. Each time it loads it shows one child picked at random from the open cases at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, nationwide or for one US state, with a photo, the child's age, when and where they went missing, a QR code for the official poster, and the 24-hour 1-800-THE-LOST hotline. While an AMBER Alert is active for the area, the child from that alert is shown first.

Help bring missing children home from any screen

The Missing Children app turns a screen into a missing-child alert. Each time it loads, it shows one child picked at random from the open cases at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC): their photo, their age now, when and where they went missing, and a QR code that opens their official poster on a phone.

The 24-hour 1-800-THE-LOST hotline is on screen at all times. Choose a state to show only cases from there, or leave it nationwide.

Where it fits

  • Shopping centers, grocery stores, and gas stations
  • Transit stations, airports, and rest areas
  • Schools, libraries, and community centers
  • Office lobbies and break-room screens

Always current, never stale

Cases are fetched live from NCMEC every time the screen loads, and nothing is stored in the app, so a child who has been found never stays on screen. If the screen is offline it shows the hotline instead of an old case.

Case data and photographs come from NCMEC and are shown unaltered. This app is not affiliated with or endorsed by NCMEC.

Already running something else? These apps work there too. Each one is a standard web page, so it plays on BrightSign players, Samsung Tizen and LG webOS displays, Android and Amazon Fire TV devices, and on digital signage platforms such as Yodeck, ScreenCloud, OptiSigns, Xibo, Rise Vision and TelemetryTV. If your player can show a URL, it can run these apps.
